FAQ for Mesotherapy

What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a medical specialty involving the injection of microscopic quantities of natural enzymes, homeopathic agents and vitamins into the skin layers. It is a medical treatment for a variety of conditions including cellulite, body sculpturing and skin rejuvenation.

What is Meso-lipolysis?

Meso-lipolysis is a term used by Essentially Bare Cosmetic Clinics for the Mesotherapy treatment process and its exclusive use of a specialised conjugate formulation for the treatment of cellulite and body sculpting.

Why use Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is the only effective and long-term treatment available for cellulite. It is also the safest and most effective treatment for body sculpting when the surgical liposuction method is not a good alternative.

What are the benefits of Mesotherapy over liposuction?

Liposuction does not treat cellulite. In fact, it often makes cellulite more obvious. Mesotherapy treats cellulite directly, resulting in a smoother skin surface. Mesotherapy also effectively reduces fat in specific areas such as love handles. Mesotherapy is a non-surgical procedure that does not require hospitalisation, anaesthesia or a recovery period.

How does Meso-lipolysis work on cellulite?

Meso-lipolysis treats the factors that cause cellulite e.g. poor local circulation, the accumulation of toxic wastes, and the build-up of fatty deposits. Treatments can be done on any affected parts of the body such as the stomach, waist, hips, buttocks and legs.

How does Meso-lipolysis work on weight loss and body sculpting?

Meso-lipolysis targets specific areas of the body that are storing excessive amounts of fat e.g. abdomen, love handles, buttocks, thighs, double chins, bra bulges and saddle bags. The meso-lipolysis formulated conjugate is injected into the areas undergoing treatment, and acts by blocking the fat cells from storing fat, while also dissolving existing fat stores. This dissolved fat is then naturally flushed out of the body via the kidneys (in the urine).

How many treatments are required?

This varies upon each individual and depends upon the extent of the cellulite and fat being treated. The average number of treatments range between 4 – 12 sessions per person. More severe cases may require more sessions.

How fast will I see results?

Results depend upon several factors such as body type and severity of the condition. On average, results will become visible after 2-3 sessions.

Will the results last?

Meso-lipolysis is considered to be permanent when combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise.

What is the success rate of Meso-lipolyis treatment?

Meso-lipolysis has been medically proven as a safe and effective treatment for reducing cellulite. The Journal of Dermatology October 2003 highlights a 92% success rate for meso-lipolysis treatment. This is excellent news, considering that other treatments for cellulite have been unsuccessful to date.

Are there any side-effects of Meso-lipolysis treatment?

Side-effects of meso-lipolysis treatment are minimal, especially in comparison with other treatments such as liposuction. Side-effects can include occasional itching and a burning sensation that lasts for approximately 15 minutes after the procedure. Mild bruising may occur, which resolves within 1 week. Otherwise, the procedure is almost painless and has no down-time. Meso-lipolysis has an excellent safety profile.

More information on Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a medical specialisation involving the injection of microscopic quantities of natural enzymes, homeopathic agents and vitamins into the mesodermal layer of the skin to deliver corrective treatments to a specific region of the body.

Cellulite is the combination of accumulated toxic wastes, fat and water caused by connective tissue damage (sclerosis) and poor circulation. The skin condition affects more than 90% of women after puberty, including those who are over weight as well as slim women.

To date, treatments for cellulite have been highly unsuccessful, very expensive and short-term.

Up until now, treatments available for body sculpturing have also been sub-optimal. In many cases, dieting and weight loss proves difficult and unsuccessful as a single measure. Liposuction is usually the next alternative. However this involves surgery which is often associated with unacceptable side-effects, including anaesthesia, infection, extensive bruising, pain and complicated post-operative care.

Mesotherapy for Cellulite

“Meso-lipolysis” is a simple medical treatment involving multiple micro injections of a specialised conjugate formulated specifically for use by Essentially Bare Cosmetic Clinics. This procedure leads to improved circulation, the dissolving of excess fat deposits, and the removal of hardened connective tissue. As a result, cellulite is effectively reduced by eliminating toxic substances and fatty deposits after their breakdown and subsequent excretion through the kidneys (in the form of urine).

All of the active ingredients used in meso-lipolysis are naturally-occuring. This effective treatment is virtually painless, and has no side-effects. Meso-lipolysis is considered to be a cosmetic medical breakthrough for a condition that up until now, has been highly resistant to all other methods of treatment.

Mesotherapy for Body Sculpturing

By being to able to dissolve fatty deposits, meso-lipolysis is a simple and safe alternative to liposuction. Meso-lipolysis is the answer to fat loss and body contouring. Combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise program, meso-lipolysis achieves satisfying results without the discomfort and side-effects associated with traditional liposuction.

Mesotherapy for body sculpting involves microinjections of specialised conjugates formulated to dissolve fat within the areas being treated e.g. love handles, saddle bags, bra bulges and thighs, etc. A series of treatments (6-15) are given on a weekly basis and the results are permanent, as long as the patient adheres to a healthy diet and regular exercise program.
